UNMANNED SYSTEMS ASIA 2017 FORUM
18 April 2017, 2PM - 5PM
Changi Exhibition Centre
Theme: "The Future of Drones"
Drones are becoming one of the key technological advances of the 21st century, and are still constantly evolving in terms of the technologies being incorporated into the platform, and the expanding fields of use. From the simple task of creating a holiday video from the air using a hobbyist UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle), to the inspection of undersea power cables using an UUV (Unmanned Underwater Vehicle), drones are becoming a cost-effective tool for many tasks which were previously time consuming and costly to execute. The application of drone technology today spans the air, land, sea and undersea dimensions.
This inaugural edition of the Forum will focus on the air dimension of drone applications. Aerial drones started as a recreational platform, and have since added a commercial element to its varied uses. The Forum aims to present varied views from commercial users of aerial drones in different industries, with the aim of providing food for thought on the future potential of having aerial drones performing more varied tasks.
